Our multidisciplinary Modeling & Simulation experts design & implement health economic models to:

  • Describe sophisticated medical processes
  • Understand and evaluate the implications of clinical trials
  • Demonstrate the value of interventions beyond efficacy
  • Assess benefits, risks, and the economic consequences associated with healthcare interventions.


Typical projects include health economic modeling to conduct cost-effectiveness analyses of healthcare interventions and implementing decision-analytic models (e.g., decision trees, Markov, individual state transition, survival partition), research and data analytics.


Position Overview:


The Modeling & Simulation (M&S) group within Evidence Synthesis, Modeling and Communications (EMC) encompasses modelling but also includes statistics and analytics related to health economics.

The Global HEOR/Modeling Team Lead is accountable for providing senior level strategy and direction for the global Modeling and Simulation team with individuals located in the America's, Europe and APAC.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):


  • Leads the strategic direction of this functional team of professionals in conjunction with Evidence Synthesis, Modeling and Communications' strategic plan and practice area lead
  • Develop bestinclass proposals for clients
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and monitoring sales targets for senior level leaders and all within the Modeling group
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key internal (Evidera and PPD) and external stakeholders responsible for growth within the Peri/Post approval space
  • Maintains senior level oversight on all hiring and professional development for Modeling & Simulation group
  • Working closely with other leaders to advance the Evidence Synthesis, Modeling and Communications market position and support the achievement of Company level authorizations, revenue and profit goals.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Education, Professional Skills & Experience:


PhD with greater than 11 years of directly relevant experience in a similar industry/consulting environment; or Master's degree in relevant discipline with greater than thirteen years of directly relevant experience in a similar industry/consulting environment.


  • Proven capability to lead a Modeling professional services business with a minimum of 10+ years' of increasingly responsible experience in the area of financial oversight, product or service development and staff development and direction.
  • Fully proficient in the development and implementation of a business strategy and goto market plans for new and existing products and services.

Personal Skills & Competencies:


  • Excellent written and spoken English. Other languages a plus
  • Individual must have a quantitative background preferred degrees in Health Economics, Economic Evaluation, Statistics or similar
  • MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; should have familiarity with data analysis software.
