Join our client's dynamic team as an Finance Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of their start up organisation.

Based in Kinoulton, you'll be responsible for supporting both the purchase and sales ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:


Purchase Ledger:


  • Streamline the purchase ledger processes by distributing, coding, and inputting invoices on a daily basis.
  • Keep a keen eye on invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships through monthly statement reconciliations and weekly payment processing.
  • Address general purchase ledger queries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Play a pivotal role in financial transparency by allocating and posting payments weekly and setting up new supplier accounts as needed.

Sales Ledger:


  • Facilitate smooth transactions by taking card payments over the phone and setting up new customer accounts promptly.

Credit Cards:


  • Maintain financial accuracy by distributing monthly credit card expenses and chasing missing receipts or invoices when required.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Managing a daily companywide reconciliation.

Requirements:


  • Possess strong numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft products, to effectively manage financial data.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with outstanding organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrate a customercentric approach with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to our office environment as a team player.
  • Exhibit flexibility and effective time management skills to thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing and service industry environment.
