Our main objective is to create a culture that helps all our customers strive towards a workforce that is reflective of today's society.


This role provides face to face and remote support to our apprentice learners from Sunday evenings to Thursday evenings whilst in hotel accommodation.

The role provides support and supervision to our learners.

  • Provide a safe environment to support our learners in terms of safeguarding, wellbeing, health and safety
  • Be available for facetoface interaction with the learners, engaging with conversations and activities
  • Deal with highly sensitive and confidential situations, following CITB procedures, which at times may involve external agencies
  • Take appropriate action to investigate and resolve incidents that may arise, including dealing with inappropriate behaviour.
  • Support learners with their accommodation queries, including arrivals on Sundays.
  • Maintain accurate records using the college systems and create a handover for the weekday team
  • Act as a role model in terms of fairness, inclusion and respect
  • Monitoring and maintaining a log of learner movement for arriving and leaving

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Post holders will have good level of education, minimum 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) at a minimum grade 4 to include maths and English
  • Experience in working with 16+ age group preferably within in an education setting
  • IT literate and comfortable working with systems such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and orally
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service

Can be given on appointment if not already achieved

Desirable

  • Youthwork experience/qualification.

Working hours will be:

Sunday - Thursday 4pm pm with 1/2 hour break.
