London N1 7NH office based but ability to work 2-3 days from home

CPRE the countryside charity is a long-established and highly respected voice on land use and
planning in England. As we come up to our centenary in 2026, we're deeply involved in
influencing far reaching reforms to both farming and planning.

You'll report to the Head of Policy & Planning but also work closely within a team of
policy and research officers, and with our External Affairs, Engagement & Income and
Volunteering & Partnerships teams.

In this role you will take on an exciting and highly varied programme of work in which no two
days are the same. We are looking for a planner who has a strong interest in land use, tackling
the climate emergency and securing equality, diversity and inclusion in planning processes and


outcomes


You will:

Carry out research projects relating to CPRE's main campaigns, including on national
planning policies, renewable energy and rural farming and land use

Advise and work with team leads and local groups on national planning policy issues of
relevance to CPRE's work, in particular through research papers and Geographical Information
Systems (GIS) analysis

Advocate for CPRE campaigns and policies through supporting responses to relevant
government consultations and representing CPRE to policy and research audiences
