Wellbeing Suffolk provide high Intensity interventions to adults with a range of Mental Health Disorders.

The trainee CBT position includes undertaking the PG Diploma in High Intensity CBT at the University of East Anglia.

Training takes place over one academic year and involves spending two days per week at university and the remainder of the week in practice at your work place.

You will provide high intensity interventions to adults with a range of anxiety disorders, depression and trauma related problems.

This is an opportunity to join an established team of Psychological Therapists providing a range of NICE compliant treatments at Step 3.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Primary Care Counsellors, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Primary Care Mental Health Practitioners and Employment Advisors.

Therapists within Wellbeing provide brief time-limited therapy and are expected to spend 55% of their time providing treatment interventions to clients.

The Wellbeing Service has a number of Key Performance Indicators (targets) and clinicians are supported to achieve these. Clinical and case management supervision is provided within the service. Once qualified you will be expected to offer F2F treatment as well as facilitate group session / webinars


Attending University x2 days a week and then x3 days in service providing High Intensity treatment to those requiring interventions / support for their Mental Health.

You will be providing treatment in line with the University Modules and once qualified will be expected to provided F2F treatment for those requiring this.
