A fantastic new opportunity working as a full-time Rent and Service Charge Manager based in Didsbury. The temporary role has an excellent hourly rate on offer, between £ £25.00. This role has remote or hybrid working available.

My client is a Not for Profit, housing organisation based in South Manchester. They are a committed local housing company and are passionate about providing excellent homes and customer care. They manage homes across the North West and Cheshire, providingservices for tenants, residents and the wider community.


Description

The key responsibilities of a Rent and Service Charge Manager will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Managing the setting of rents and service charges for all tenures
  • Manage the delivery of the annual rent increase and rentfree week processes
  • Updating rental collection to revise direct debits and benefit authority records
  • Identify the correct form of the rent increase notice for different tenancy types, meeting legislative requirements
  • Lead the assessment and monitoring of service charge arrangements
  • Coordinate contributions from other teams
  • Plan and successfully implement service charges for new development schemes
  • Support service managers with advice and guidance
  • Oversee the preparation of annual service charge statements
  • Prepare the annual statistic and data return
  • Weekly reconciliation of movements
  • Prepare monthly management accounting entries

Profile

The successful Rent and Service Charge Manager must possess the following skill set and experience;

  • Background working in finance, within the Public Sector and Government or Not for Profit and Charities
  • AAT and/or similar desirable
  • Good communication and numeric skills
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and a determination to succeed
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills and attend training when needed
  • Ability to travel to Didsbury
