Are you passionate about early childhood education and literacy development? Do you have experience with the Read Write Inc program? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team.


M2 Education are currently seeking a full time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join an 'Outstanding' Primary School based in Newcastle.

Due to commence 4th September 2023, this is a full-time role, for at least 1 full academic year with the potential to become permanent.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide individualized support and care to children within the EYFS, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create and deliver engaging and ageappropriate activities that promote learning through play.
  • Support children with behavior challenges, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies for children with special educational needs.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment, encouraging independence, selfconfidence, and positive relationships.
  • Work closely with parents/guardians, providing regular feedback on their child's progress and offering guidance on how to support their development at home.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in an Early Years or Foundation Class setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Experience in supporting children with behavior challenges and special educational needs, including the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Knowledge of effective early years teaching methodologies, including playbased learning and phonics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and staff members.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and wellbeing.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Available to work fulltime for the duration of the academic year.
