Job description:
The purpose of this role is to improve staff capability through ongoing design creation, delivery and evaluation of operational training requirements.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with operational leads to identify product requirement and undertake scoping exercise
- Using business knowledge; working with Ops Leads agree appropriate schedule for training sessions
- Preparing training materials and presentations
- Training and guiding new staff
- Upskilling existing staff
- Evaluating effectiveness of courses and use results to refine products/approach
- Providing a flexible approach to training delivery to support business requirements
- Ensuring that diversity and inclusion influence the planning and delivery of L&D interventions
This is an interesting role, an opportunity to train and upskill the operational teams, to support the ever-changing business needs.
While this role offers the opportunity for hybrid working most of the training is delivered face to face therefore attendance in the office is required depending on the training schedule and customer needs and therefore not always achievable.
This role is office based however, DBS are working hard to improve our access to, and use of, digital technology, empowering our people to work remotely (40% in the office).

Person specification:
You must have a professional qualification in Learning and Development or be willing to undertake a relevant qualification to professionalise.
