Are you passionate about supporting children and young people who are in care? We have a great opportunity for any Highly Specialist Counselling/Clinical Psychologist who is looking for a 15 hours a week position in our Looked After team (LATCH) in Solar.

The team currently consists of a Team Manager, Senior Psychotherapist, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Social Workers. The LATCH team is also an integral part of our wider Solar service

Solar, rated 'Good' by the CQC and published in the Journal of Early Intervention in Psychiatry, is a partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardo's and Autism West Midlands and provides Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services to Children, Young People and Families in Solihull


Solar was set up as a service not about thresholds or tiers but about timely access to appropriate support in line with children and young people's needs.

Solar aims to create a comprehensive system, designed around the needs of children and young people, which keeps children and young people healthy as well as treating those that are ill and prioritises resilience, partnership and co-production.
