SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistant's at a Secondary SEN school in Hillingdon. Both part time flexible bookings and long term full time positions are currently available at this location.


About the role:


If you are empathetic, hardworking and passionate about uplifting the confidence of young people with SEN or behavioural needs, these roles may be well suited to you.

We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants who are happy to work with SEN pupils witha variety of special and behavioural needs.

These roles are based in an SEN setting so you will be working with pupils in from KS3-KS4 on a 1-1 basis or in small groups.


What you will need:


  • Experience working within Education with students with SEN or Behavioural Needs
  • Graduates of Psychology with an interest in SEN are welcome to apply
  • Have a firm but fair approach regarding behaviour management
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the update service or be happy to process a new DBS (costs £48)
  • SEN qualifications such as ASDAN and Team Teach are preferred but not essential

Based on our extensive experience in supporting young people to make successful onward transitions we have identified three Pathways for pupils in years 7-11 that we feel best enables the above aspiration.

Pupils in years 12-14 will then follow either aLife-Skill Pathway, a Vocational Pathway or a Hybrid Pathway.

The school have parking onsite and nearby and accessible via public transport. Working hours are 08:30-15:30.
