Blusource Accountancy recruitment are dealing with several job vacancies in West Leicestershire and on the Warwickshire border for Senior and Semi Senior Accountants within accountancy practice firms.


Jobs are available in Hinckley, Ashby-de-la-Zouche, Lutterworth, Nuneaton and in and around the Fosse Park / Meridian Business park area of Leicester.


The firms use up to date methods and IT systems and THERE IS A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY ABOUT EXACTLY WHAT TYPE OF PERSON THEY HIRE.


One firm in Hinckley are seeking to hire into a broad role including bookkeeping, VAT, accounts production, assistance on management accounts and tax computations.

AAT or ACCA study support can be provided.


The firm do generally need people to work in the office, so hybrid working is not encouraged, although occasional days at home for a good reason are possible.


Early finish on Fridays, holidays increasing over time, death in service is generous, employer pension contributions rise over time and parking wise, there are local car parks, but most staff can park for free on the street due to the start time at the firm.


They use up to date methods and IT systems including xero, quickbooks, sage line 50 and sage accounts production and they are currently hiring, keen for people from Trainee up to Senior Accountant level.


  • Preparing limited company, sole trader, partnership and income and expenditure accounts and the relevant tax computations
  • Draft personal tax computations
  • Using Sage software, along with QuickBooks, Xero and SageOne
  • Prepare VAT returns and complete bookkeeping primarily on Sage
  • Assisting the payroll team as and when required
Studies can be supported for AAT and ACCA.

  • Potentially reviewing accounts and corporation tax computations which have been prepared by junior members of staff prior to being sent out to client's.
  • There could be some involvement in undertaking reviews of client's sage data
