The Role


Bolton Council has secured resources through Central Government's Rough Sleeping funding to tackle rough sleeping and assist with accommodation in the private rented sector.


We are seeking 1 full time officer (37hours) to deliver Rough Sleeper Outreach / Navigator duties to provide outreach contact and key worker support to engage with rough sleepers, through key transitions into longer term accommodation.


This will also include development of a local lettings agency approach to improving access to private rented accommodation for rough sleepers / former rough sleepers.


You will work closely with partner agencies to provide a co-ordinated response to rough sleepers to address their accommodation, health and well-being and work flexibly across the week and at times during the early morning and evening to maximise engagement.

About You


As a Rough Sleeper Outreach/ Move-On Worker you will provide outreach contact and key worker support in engagement with rough sleepers through key transitions away from rough sleeping.


Work closely with the Rapid Rehousing Pathway team to develop working relationships with landlords and maximise opportunities for access into private rented accommodation.


Work closely with the Rough Sleeping team, outreach workers and other agencies to provide a co-ordinated response to supporting rough sleepers into suitable settled accommodation and in particular private rented accommodation.

Provide support to both tenant and landlord in order to sustain tenancies.
