Role Overview:


  • Ensures the integrity of financial reporting, forecasting and control environment of the Business Unit's seating operations.
  • Ensures the ongoing compliance of the Division with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and delivery of the SOX Monitoring Plan. Prepare statutory accounts for UK plants.

Key responsibilities:


  • Lead, develop and retain a worldclass finance team.
  • Support & coach the Financial Controllers covering all aspects of their roles
  • Provide feedback via regular calls & Coaching Conversations
  • SOX Champion for the UK
  • Balance Sheet review completion (twice per year)
  • SOX Quality Reviews (once per year)
  • Quarterly SOX Testing reviews
  • Deficiency reporting & management
  • Adhoc SOX related requests
  • Accountable for all financial audits.
  • External audit management including attending close out reviews
  • Internal audit support including Ledgers Not Visited reviews
  • Leadership of all financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Planning, Preparation, consolidation & reporting of the UK Groups monthly results & forecasts/budgets
  • Managing close & forecast/budget reviews
  • Manage & review the weekly risks and opportunities process.
  • Roadmap reporting & management
  • Reserves reporting & Quarterly Attest reviews
  • Adhoc reporting required from Corporate (BP&A, Corporate Compliance, Leadership team)
  • UK Statutory Account reporting
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts for 5 entities
  • Tax journal preparation
  • Management of External Statutory Account audit process to ensure timely sign off
  • Business Partnering
  • Provide Finance support to the weekly Operations Director meetings
  • Provide Finance support to the weekly Commercial E&O reviews
  • Attend the VP Management meetings
  • Manage & review the Quarterly Cycle Count reports
  • Support other Lear projects
  • Velocity

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Holds relevant Accountant qualifications
  • Demonstrates a mature and professional approach, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
