Description
Our Client is a leading supplier of bath accessories.

We have a new role for an experienced QA Technologist/Senior QA Technologist to take responsibility for overseeing all quality and safety functions of product development, with focus on European and global markets.

Hybrid role with 4 days in the office including Tuesday.


The Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the testing for new product development, including all cosmetic and hard goods testing in line with target user. Ensure test samples are obtained and lab reports are received on time. Follow up for any retesting and due diligence required.
  • Compile and maintain PIF files for H&A cosmetic and toiletry products. Work with suppliers to ensure all requirements are met to ensure we maintain legislative, customer and licensor compliance.
  • Advise, create, and maintain warnings and additional information requirements for packaging artwork of finalised products.
  • Manage product and customer requirements for our international brands including the USA, Canadian and Australian markets
  • Management of team members, reporting to management as required, upkeep of team meetings.
  • Provide suitable cover for the Quality Assurance Manager as and when needed.
  • Recording and approval of 3rd party product testing invoices.
  • Factory management including audit and manufacturer approvals, licensor registration and ensuring factory sites adhere to customer requirement
  • Record, approve and manage the library of INCI's for all cosmetic formulations.
  • Manage Licensor online approval systems to ensure updated and maintained with all technical requirements and product approvals.
  • Approval of 3rd party preshipment inspections.
  • Responding to and resolving customer complaints.
  • General product, testing and factory queries from internal and external team members
  • Daily administrative tasks including but not limited to saving tests reports, filing invoices, answering queries

Key Skills

  • Relevant experience in a quality or compliance role preferably within the cosmetic/toiletries/personal care industry.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of global requirements and legislation in the cosmetic & personal care industry.
  • Experience and good working knowledge of factory audits including ethical and technical audits, CAP reports and grading.
  • Leadership and management of team members and subsequent reporting to senior management.
  • Strong communication, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Ability to challenge external parties on legal aspects of compliance.
  • Experience with product copy including warnings and required information for product safety conformity.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word.

Preferred but non-essential skills:


  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 2271
  • Background education in Chemistry.
  • Experience working with licensors.
