Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, NHS Manchester Talking Therapies

What you'll be doing


As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within our NHS Manchester Talking Therapies service, you'll assess and support adults who are experiencing common mental health difficulties such as mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety and low mood.

You'll typically work with clients on a one-to-one basis, in groups or/and provide support for an eTherapy programme.

What we need from you

  • You will be a qualified PWP, as part of a certified IAPT programme.
  • You will have strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • You will be confident in your ability to work flexibly without close direction.
  • You will have good time management and organisational skills relating to the overall number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week.
  • You will be interested in using clinical supervision positively and effectively.
  • You will need an enhanced level DBS check for this role.

What we will offer you in return

  • An annual salary of £30,639 (NHS B5 plus two years).
  • A permanent, fulltime contract (37.5 hours per week).
  • 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years.
