SEN Teaching Assistant with BSL

Duration:
Full time, on-going

Salary:
£85 - £95 per day

The School/role:

Our Birmingham is looking for talented, committed and experienced SEN TAs who have a British Sign Language (BSL) Qualification who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a fantastic school in Rubery, Birmingham.

Our fantastic school offers families who have a profoundly Deaf child of 2-11 years old a safe and happy environment.

This role will include working with a variety of different students with a range of different educational support needs. We are working with a school within the area that aims to provide a nurturing, safe and happy environment.

This is a School for the Deaf, so all staff are expected to be adept in British Sign Language. The school community is tight-knit and encompasses a positive approach to learning and general behaviour.

This will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with displays and providing direct 1 on 1 or small group SEN student support.

The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very rewarding for people who have teaching assistant experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background
Level 2 or 3 assisting education and learning qualification or equivalent
Immediately available
Level 1 safeguarding certificate
Relevant school based references

Valid Photo ID

Driving Licence or passport
Full DBS on the update service
