Our client is looking for an experienced Property Data Officer.

The Estate Management team are responsible for managing the Council's property portfolio, comprising of circa 3000 assets. This includes our operational estate such as leisure centres, libraries, children & family centres and our investment portfolio.

Following a recent migration to a new asset management database, we are looking for support to help clean and improve the data held.


Successful applicants will need to be fully IT literate across a range of systems, from general internet lookups & researching, accurate data input and using excel spreadsheets.

An understanding of databases and cleaning data would be an advantage, and we are seeking those confident with data handling with a good attention to detail.

Day to day duties will focus on verifying that existing record data is correct and up to date.

More specifically, current recorded site and building measurements will need to be verified against our online GIS mapping tools, so you should be confident in using maps, understanding map features and able to understand the drawing tools used with online mapping.

All our records have property documents associated with them which we intend to check and rename to align with our current naming conventions.

Although not a requirement, a working knowledge of estate management and wider property related matters will be useful when dealing with records pertaining to the various terminology and industry requirements.


Person Specification:
We require someone that is self motivated, focused and able to meet the demands of the role.

Excellent attention to detail - we need to ensure accurate inputs and a methodical approach to record and document changes.

You should be able to absorb process requirements and easily understand knowledge from areas you may not have previous experience in and be quick to learn.

Ideally you should be able to communicate well on other topics such as airing concerns and raising questions to the team.

We expect all interactions to be professional, respectful, considered and polite to all members of staff, council members and the public
