Job Title:
Wood Machinist


Location:
Bathgate (EH48 2SF)


Hours:
Mon to Thu: 08:00 - 16:30 & Fri: 08:00 - 15:30


Salary:
From £16 per hour dependent on experience + premium overtime pay


Reports to:
Operations Manager


We are looking for an experienced Wood Machinist to join our busy Head Office factory in Bathgate and lead the team in our bespoke wood machine shop.

As a Wood Machinist, you would operate and maintain different types of wood machinery to produce bespoke high quality wood finishings to be used in our range of Sibcas buildings.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Carry out daily and weekly maintenance checks
  • Operate wood machinery such as: table saws, crosscut saw, band saw, spindle moulders, planers
  • Prepare and cut wood to size, producing accurate customer and stock profiles
  • Following diagrams and drawings
  • Using saws in a safe and organised working manor
  • Loading and unloading duties
  • Maintain housekeeping to the highest of standards
  • Other adhoc duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, Industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety.

Wood Machinist: 5 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Wood Machinist Certification (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
