Several new roles will enable the team to accelerate delivery of its plans.

The role of
Food & Beverage Controller will be critical to the team's success.


Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Your role will be working independently to manage the change in how the University of Warwick manages its stock across the University campus.
  • Responsible for placing all food and beverage orders as directed by the kitchen management teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring all orders are processed correctly including the correct specification of items as mandated by Food Production Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring that orders are placed with approved suppliers and that best price is achieved.
  • Ensure correct stock is purchased and levels are kept in line with the group's requirements
  • Manage the logistics of the stock to ensure products are distributed to the different outlets in a timely manner
  • Work with procurement to ensure access to the best products
  • Monitoring food & beverage income & expenditure on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, whilst keeping accurate records.
  • Prepare operating data and special reports as required comparing performance with operating plans and standards.
  • Responsible for the checking of all invoices against purchase orders, ensuring all weights, amounts and prices are correct.
  • Monitor suppliers against agreed SLA's and if needed feedback to Purchasing team.
  • Implement standardised procedures across Warwick Food Group

Communication

  • To be the link between operational teams and Purchasing.
  • Ensure that all relevant supplier/product/cost information is passed onto operational teams.
  • Constant communication with the Purchasing team.
  • With suppliers ref invoice issues etc.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in managing stock processes, including ordering, goods receipting and stock counting
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytics and reporting skills.
  • Experience with Accounting System, POS Systems and cost and inventory systems.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Have a highlevel attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.

Desirable

  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification or above
  • Experience of working in a foodservice environment

£25,138.00-£28,759.00 per year
