Description

  • Processes all financial transactions and reconciles key control accounts
  • Completes the bi
- monthly payment run and deals with supplier queries

  • Works closely with colleagues in other departments, particularly shops and fundraising, in order to record income and resolve any queries
  • Investigates any queries from the Finance Manager or Finance Officer to support the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Provides advice to internal clients regarding income, supplier invoices, credit card expenses and petty cash
  • Ensures that work is completed in line with agreed procedures, monthly deadlines and legal requirements

Profile

  • HNC/HND Accounting, or SVQ Level 4/Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Technician Level, or equivalent experience
  • Experience within a finance environment including having an understanding of accounting procedures e.g. reconciliation and balances, VAT payments and deductions, finance computer systems and ledgers, coding structures, etc.
  • Experience of working with Sage Accounting is preferable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Numerical skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • High level of accuracy & organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use own initiative
