Business Support Officers are an essential part of the Business Support Unit, which provides services in the Housing sector.

We are looking for a proactive individual who can take an innovative approach to problem solving and provide a high-quality service to the departments the Business Support Unit serves.

You should have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate good administrative skills.


You will be working across the whole area of business support, from logging complaints in Environmental Health, preparing tenancy packs for our housing team, sorting our legal papers for court and minute taking for various meetings.

We are looking for someone who is numerate, articulate and organised. You will need to be flexible in your work and be able to prioritise the varied workload. Previous minute taking experience will be an advantage.


Hours of work are - 5 Monday to Friday (37 hours a week) at least 2 days in Grafton House will be needed for this role due to the nature of the work (these could be different each week depending on business need).

You will require Mathematics and English GCSEs or equivalent skills. You will be competent in all Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel. Knowledge of M3, Abritas and IHMS would be advantageous, but training will be provided. You will have the ability to work confidently to tight deadlines, both alone and as part of the team. Experience in similar roles would be an advantage, but not essential.
