This is a fantastic opportunity for you to start your managerial career overseeing a small team of 8 operational and commercial staff in a busy metal distribution centre based in Preston.


Having some sort of experience in an industrial environment would be ideal, and this could prove a great stepping stone for the future, giving you great exposure to running a depot.


This role will be overseeing the warehouse operations which consists of 3 warehouse staff and 2 drivers as well as supporting the sales team as and when required.


Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing production schedules
  • Booking in stock
  • Stock checks
  • Transport planning
  • Load planning
  • Responsible for daily issues

Required Experience

  • Health and Safety
  • Neebosh and Iosh would be desirable
  • Manufacturing/engineering experience
  • Managing/Supervising a small team
  • Well organised
  • Ability to take responsibility

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
