Strategic Sourcing Services manages commercial relationships and partnerships with key suppliers, and the end-to-end supplier life-cycle. We play a fundamental role in the day-to-day provision of goods and services for the HSBC Group. Our primary focus is to deliver commercial value through all areas of procurement worldwide. We work closely with other parts of HSBC to provide leadership of the bank's third-party supplier relationships.

Role Purpose:


The Global Procurement Technology strategy focusses on enhancing the people experience and modernising to improve speed, scale, and resilience by simplifying the Global Procurement technology estate and increasing automation and straight-through-processing.

Coupa is a strategic SaaS platform for HSBC and a key enabler underpinning this strategy.

Coupa Source to Contract (S2C) is now available globally for 115k business end users, 1k procurement users and 25k third party supplier contracts.

Over the next 12 months, Coupa Request to Pay will be progressed for some markets as part of moving to straight through processing from Supplier onboarding to Payment and also exploration of other Coupa Modules.

There will be opportunities to further extend the use of Coupa across Strategic Procurement Systems and the role holder will work with other functions to develop that roadmap in light of the SaaS product evolution.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the senior leader and overall Functional product owner for Coupa for Procurement
  • Work with stakeholders and existing service owners to develop the strategy and roadmap for consolidating and implementing additional Coupa instances
  • Grow and coach a Coupa Product team within HSBC Global Procurement
  • Ensure Technology and operational risks are appropriately controlled in line with Group and business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Expert in Coupa implementations, architecture, and strategy. Preferably this would be within a banking environment.
  • Track record of forming strong partnerships with external vendors and assurance of their deliverables.
  • Excellent working knowledge of procurement operating models and processes
  • Good working knowledge of partner processes
The base location for this role will be 8 Canada Square, London with hybrid working.
