Our client is a leading producer of high-quality food products, committed to delivering excellence in taste and safety.On their behalf, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:- Ensuring that products are packed correctly for the designated customer, meeting packaging, labelling, and weight requirements.
- Orchestrating staff and room setup, including job allocation.
- Achieving daily production targets as set by the management team.
- Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and health & safety practices at all times.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintaining stock control to ensure product availability.
- Adhering to the company's hygiene and safety rules.
- Informing the Factory/Production Manager of any equipment defects.
- Ensuring all documentation and returns procedures are followed.
- Ensuring total compliance with statutory requirements, including Health and Safety, COSSH, and hygiene regulations.
- Performing diligent cleaning procedures to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
- Verifying the accuracy of weighing scales before packing begins.
- Ensuring all packs are metal detected correctly and correctly labeled.
- Performing any other reasonable duties allocated by the Factory/Production Manager or other senior company employees.
- Demonstrating effective people management skills.
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others while at work and comply with the Company's policies and legislation.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate learning and development activities.
- Good attention to detail.
- A calm and focused individual.
- Selfmotivated and able to motivate others.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in IT and systems.
- Disciplined with procedures and a structured approach.
- Ideally trained to Level 3 Food Hygiene plus Health and Safety at Work.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet the demands of the business.
