Are you a qualified Teaching assistant based in, or have easy access to Oldbury in Sandwell?
Do you have a passion for inclusion and working with SEND?

Aspire people are currently working with a school in Oldbury who are seeking a Teaching assistant to work within a small class of EYFS students with complex ASD for a January 2023 start.

The role is working within an EYFS class setting of approximately 8 children supporting children with complex ASD alongside the additional members of staff within the class.

Staff all work together to create a warm, sensory environment where the students canbe stimulated and have access to elements of the EYFS curriculum.

Each staff member is assigned to a student to work with, however staff alternate throughout the day to give staff and students more variety and exposure to different styles and learning experiences.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.


  • Support children with complex ASD
  • Support the class teacher with daily activities
  • Assess achievements of the pupils
  • Ensure the children has access to the curriculum
  • Liaise with parents
