Role Overview
The purpose of this role is to suppose the Team Leader with manufacturing unit in achieving plant operational targets, product quality, customer service and health & safety onjectives/

Key Accountability

Participate in team activities, utilising appropriate process, technical and engineering skills to achieve manufacturing, quality and service targets
Actively contributes to all team activities aimed at improving plant performance through implementation of continuous improvement, problem solving, team building and personal self development
Suggest improvements to plant, process and operating procedures
React to process, engineering, quality and safe issues as they arise and utilise the knowledge, experience and skills of own and other team member to initiate corrective action
Operates flexibility and safely within the team carrying out activities under direction of the team leader within of competence, capability and training
Contributes to initiatives related to improving health & safety performance, taking an active part in risk assessment/hazard identification for all operational activities and taking account of appropriate COMAH regulation
Other duties as assigned

Quals, Experience, Personal Attributes

Basic Slinging & Lifting
Over head crane experience
Fork Lift truck experience
MEWP experience
Experience preparing work pieces for shot blasting / painting activities.
Highly motivated
Punctual

Preferred;

NVQ Level 1 & 2 mechanical engineering
IOSH
Experience in sanding, polishing, dressing activities using pneumatic and electric hand tools
Bench fitting experience (deburring sharp edges, bottom tapping holes, basic fitting
