Role overview


We are looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join our new service in Leicester on a fixed term contract for a period of 8 months (March - October).

This will be full time role, working 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.


Reporting to the Lead Theatre Practitioner, your role will to be ensure that the service maintains the right level of clinical and non-clinical stock.

This will include monitoring and controlling stock levels as well as processing stock through the system. You will be involved in assisting forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.


You will enjoy working in a process driven environment, where with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, you will flourish.


What skills and experience do I need?

  • Previous experience in stock control
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new stock management systems
  • An understanding of manual handling best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • A good team player happy to jump in and support others when required
