The role is for a Lead Associate Broker within our Financial Solutions Credit & Political Risk team, based in London.
This role will involve working in a team focussing on a broad base of UK and International financial institution clients.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Liaising with clients on new transactions, drafting of term sheets and broking risks to Lloyd's syndicates and Company markets
- Providing clear, timely and accurate communications between clients and markets whilst working to tight deadlines
- Working with current clients to review their existing programmes and wordings, presenting possible improvements, solutions and enhancing client outcomes
- Working with prospective and new clients to develop their insurance buying strategy, presenting this alongside clients to the markets as well as internal stakeholders
- Negotiation of policy wordings and premium schedules
- Assist with the daytoday management and administration of the client portfolio, including issuing midterm adjustments and amendments.
- Offer assistance and advice to team members as required
- Assist with the execution of the FI strategy working in collaboration with the other FI teams as well as external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level. ACII qualification preferable but not essential
- Ability to speak a second language preferable but not essential
- Knowledge of Non-Payment Insurance and bank loan facilities and existing market experience in this class
- Be able to assist in preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resources, practice groups and other producers
- Working knowledge of Market Reform Contracts
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Be able to maintain facetoface and telephone contact with clients and Underwriters
- Problem solving and decisionmaking skills essential
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, oral & presentation) skills and interpersonal skills essential
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, selfmotivation and decisionmaking skills are crucial
