Morgan McKinley is working on an exclusive basis looking for a Finance Business Partner who wants to work for a growing highly acquisitive SME in based in the Northamptonshire area.

My client offers flexible hours and the ability to work in a hybrid model of 2 days working from home.

We are looking for someone who is looking to join growing organisation who are offering a Finance business Partnering looking after one of their divisions,reporting to the FD and the Division Director.

This is a permanent role, offered with bonus, 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, private healthcare, life assurance and hybrid working and more.

Morgan McKinley's clients are very acquisitive, based in Northamptonshire, looking for a Qualified Management Accountant who is looking for their first step into finance business partnering or a Finance Business Partner looking for their next step in a dynamicbusiness.

The company is going form strength to strength with continuous growth
- through both organic and acquisitions, for 2023, and this role will be pivotal to supporting that growth.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be tasked with the following:

  • To take ownership of the monthly management accounts and associated KPI's, management reports, including variance analysis and insightful commentary and recommendations
  • Assist in preparing the group budgets and forecasts for your business division
- adding commercial support, challenge ROI etc

  • Work closely with the heads of departments on budget, commercial opportunities and capital expenditure and investments.
  • Partner with the divisional director with full P&L ownership
  • Monitor and report on the control of group stock balances
  • Provide input into the weekly group cashflow forecast
  • Support, maintain and enhance the financial controls within in the finance department to help increase efficiencies, reduce errors and risk, an operate in best practice.
  • Assist with the integration of new companies to the group
  • To offer support and commercial advice to the Division Director, who is incredibly keen on this partnership. To help maximise the top line and reduce the bottom line for the division.

What you will need:


  • Experience in job roles such as Management Accountant/ Finance Manager/ Finance Business Partner/
  • Must be ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist
  • Have strong commercial acumen with strong Management accounting experience and the ability to manage stakeholders, build rapport and support and enquire where needed.
  • Have up to date knowledge accounting principles, and work to best practice.
  • Have demonstrable experience in management accounts, budgets forecasts, analysis
  • Excel skills to Modelling, Pivot tables and look ups. Power BI would be highly advantageous but not essential.
