An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced practitioner psychologist within the Clinical Health Psychology Department at Salford Royal covering the new Long COVID service and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Newly qualified applicants or those in the process of qualifying will be considered. The post is a permanent post.Our department offers excellent opportunities for career progression and clinical experience.
A commitment to provision of evidence-based health care is essential.
An understanding of the psychological factors influencing physical health and delivery of health care would be desirable, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

An understanding of the psychological factors influencing physical health and delivery of health care would be desirable, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.- To conduct assessment, formulation and intervention and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
- To assist the lead practitioner in planning and providing for the psychological needs of long COVID and ME/CFS patients in group and individual therapy according to the best practice guidelines.
- To assist with data collection and audit of the service
- Contributing to an integrated holistic service for patients. (An eclectic approach is valuable, but an interest in CBT, ACT and Mindfulness will be desirable)
