The opportunity:


Due to continued growth, we have a rare opportunity as a Used Vehicle Buyer to join our highly successful buying team.

- preferably from a buying role, however we would consider someone from a Used Car Management background with a solid track record of stock acquisition.


More about the role:


  • Full responsibility for used Vehicle stock purchasing from various sources including manufacturers, auctions and the groups own partexchanges
  • Driving sales volume and maximising profitability to achieve KPI's
  • Profiling stock to ensure a good mix across all sites, taking into account demographics and market share
  • Developing and growing the used car operation

More about you:


  • At least 2 years experience working in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Full UK driving license

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today.

From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.


We're expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don't stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts.

All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
