Boutique Recruitment are hiring on behalf of their client.

HGV MECHANICS

We are looking for a HGV mechanic who is comfortable with carrying out MOT prep, preventative maintenance checks and general repairs on HGVs, Trucks and Trailers, based within a workshop and also out on site as mobile, you will be supplied a van.

In addition to this, we are looking for someone to have:

A good understanding of DVSA regulations
Faultfinding skills
Commercial awareness

Advantageous experience:

HGV NVQ Level 3 qualification.
Experience with all makes of vehicles.

Hours:

Monday
Friday 6am 6pm
4 on 4 off days 6pm 6am

The main responsibility of the role is to carry out MOT prep, preventative maintenance checks and general repairs on a fleet of HGVs, Trucks and Trailers to ensure that they are roadworthy and up to date with changes to the HGV inspection manual.

This role is 50/50 workshop and call out/mobile mechanic/fitter.

The targets for the role are:

To maintain above national average MOT pass rate
Ensure projects are completed to agreed timeframes.
Ensure relevant paperwork is completed, legible and meets DVSA standards.

You will be supplied a van, but you will need to supply your own tools, many are in the workshops, but mobile workers are required to own tools.

Salary:

- £40,000 - £50,000 Per year depending on experience.
This is a permanent position.
