UE07 £36,333 - £43,155 Per Annum, Pro Rata

College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences / Edinburgh College of Art / Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA)

Fixed term for 12 months
**Part-time, 21 hours per week

The Opportunity


The Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA) wishes to appoint a 0.6 FTE Teaching Fellow in Architectural Theory for the period of 12 months.


The post-holder will have a focus on and responsibility for organising and teaching courses in architectural theory in the professionally accredited programmes in architecture.


Skills and Attributes for Success

  • A degree in architecture, architectural theory, or related discipline, with a strong background in architectural and environmental studies
  • Possess excellent communication skills evidenced through publications and/or scholarship
  • Experience of universitylevel teaching in a related field
  • A contextualised knowledge of architectural education.
  • Ability to set out, communicate and critically review complex issues pertaining to architectural theory
  • Ability to use digital platforms for teaching
  • Experience of working around themes and discourses that will further the diversity of our community
  • Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equality of opportunity and inclusion.
