Social Media & Content Assistant

We are a prominent, family-run e-cigarette distributor/retailer based in Birmingham, looking for a creative Social Media & Content Assistant to help us develop our retail customer base and create a fluid brand experience across multiple platforms.

To achieve this we need someone who has a passion for all types of content creation, has an enthusiastic work ethic with a desire for problem-solving and can support our Marketing Manager with strong design and copy skills.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Creation and scheduling of effective social media content across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Profile maintenance and daily interaction across all social media accounts and related communities to boost brand awareness and nurture customer relationships.
Monitor and report on engagement and post performance across channels while constructing new ideas to grow.
Shooting, editing and maintenance of all website product photography.
Assist with planning and preparation of industry related blogs & guides.
Participation in discussion and brainstorming of marketing strategies.
Stay uptodate with trends and industry news.

Skills required for the role:

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is essential with some Illustrator/After Effects experience preferred.
Confidence in design skills with an excellent understanding of layout, hierarchy and user experience.
Motivated with a strong attention to detail and a cando attitude, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work well in fast paced, high pressure situations while adhering to strict deadlines and remaining organised.

This role is office-based and full-time. Due to the nature of certain tasks, remote working will not be possible.

Graduates who have completed a degree in design, marketing or related may apply, although it is not essential.

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hrs a week
