Purchase Ledger Clerk position with a well known business based in Leek. This role will pay a salary up to £24,000.


Client Details
Page Personnel are working with a vibrant, highly successful and long running business based in Leek. They are growing, and are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team.


Description


With the full support of the company's financial accountant, this role will involve owning the accounts payable function on behalf of the business.


Duties include:

  • Maintenance of the purchase ledger including accurate posting of supplier payments
  • Having a proactive approach to resolving purchase invoice discrepancies.
  • Create supplier payment runs on the system in line with the cash forecast
  • Raising company payments for authorisation via online banking.
  • Monitor goods received not invoiced to ensure all invoices are input in a timely fashion.
  • Run a month end GRNI report for the financial accountant.
  • Petty cash and cheque book governance, ensuring payments made are posted to the system accurately.
  • Adhoc tasks as required

  • Experience working within a Purchase Ledger function

  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel

  • Ability to use own initiative to solve problems
