Description

Responsibilities:

Tack and final weld steel using a three phase MIG welder as per standard operating

procedure.

Interpret Engineering Drawings and confirm adherence to specification using calibrated measuring instruments and templates.
Position materials for welding using cranes or forklifts
Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
Organise and plan daily work and record work carried out through computer based data capture system as instructed.
In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all health & safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general

housekeeping.

Requirements:

2 + years proven experience as a welder
Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment operation
Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders and cutting torches
Ability to assemble and disassemble metal components accurately
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
