Description

Responsibilities:

  • Tack and final weld steel using a three phase MIG welder as per standard operating
procedure.

  • Interpret Engineering Drawings and confirm adherence to specification using calibrated measuring instruments and templates.
  • Position materials for welding using cranes or forklifts
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
  • Organise and plan daily work and record work carried out through computer based data capture system as instructed.
  • In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all health & safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general
housekeeping.


Requirements:


  • 2 + years proven experience as a welder
  • Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment operation
  • Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders and cutting torches
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble metal components accurately
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
