Description
Our client is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of high end stationery and materials. They supply to retailers, universities, key accounts throughout the UK and Europe.
They currently have a vacancy for a production operative to operate some of their cutting and binding machinery.

Tasks will be to operate their high speed cutter and guillotines cutting sizes A1 down to small A5 stacks (250 or 500 at a time) of paper, using binding machines and glue machines to create books or pads and emboss/stamp the covers before sending off to packingand shipping.

Ideally you will have worked with paper cutting/binding machinery or in a similar field (sheet metal cutting/folding, packaging or filling machinery etc) and be used to working in a busy, productive environment.

Common sense and an awareness of health and safety are essential as is a positive, productive mind set.

Hours are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (40 hour week) with overtime opportunities and 20 days holiday (increasing to 25 days after 5 years employment).

This is a lively, positive company, keen to offer long term, steady employment.
Due to location and poor public transport, own transport will be essential.
