Teaching Assistant | Primary School | KS2 SEN Role | Newham

Long term 1:1 teaching assistant role working with a child in Year 5 on the autistic spectrum who is non-verbal.

Good knowledge and experience of supporting children with autism
1:1 role to start in January and to continue for at least the rest of the academic year
Supportive class teacher and SLT you will be given scope to implement your own strategies
Use of PECs, visual timetable and Core Board

This role would suit Teaching Assistants who have experience working with children with autism within a primary school or special school environment and has a passion for building relationships with non-verbal children.

The child can be a delight to work with and responds well if given the right support.

We are looking for an empathetic individual who can start in January and build a positive relationship with a child who will thrive given the right support.
