Salary:
c£31,000

What you'll be doing:

Collaborating with other functions i.e., Finance, Operations, Logistics and help resolve issues and improve work practices to achieve effective and optimal performance at all stages of the build process
Keeping item/assembly information up to date within the company's ERP/MRP system
Respond to queries swiftly and manage a fluctuating workload, prioritising where necessary
Developing and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to within Operations
Liaison with all other internal and external stakeholders, plus external suppliers and authorities as necessary
Producing metrics on time to the weekly / monthly schedule, report writing (Business intelligence Portal, Power BI, SQL queries) and requesting audits
Investigation of material transactions

Your skills and experiences:

Experience of using Microsoft packages including Excel, Access and Outlook
Able to work with coding on a basic level (Access Macros, SQL etc.)
Creativity in database development and reporting
Good problemsolving skills to fix inventory holding/transactional issues which may cause financial discrepancies
Inquisitive mindset in order to investigate any problems or challenges
Experience of leading audits
Excellent communicator with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels

The Team:

We are currently recruiting a Material Controller based on our site in Rochester.

As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for the readiness of material in line with the System of Work and the interface between, Planning Function, Material Suppliers/Sources and Material Delivery.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a small team, and also be part of a much larger team involved with the manufacture of sophisticated technology that will be shipped all over the world to important stakeholders.
