Are you practical, resourceful and caring?

Do you have the flexibility to make a regular commitment to help a family with a disabled child?


If you have a minimum of 12 hours or more a month to spare and are available to work on Saturdays - days and evenings, between 9am and up to 11pm or weekday evenings.**Ealing Family Link Service are looking for a number of sitters and would be interested in hearing from you We are currently expanding and developing our service

More hours may be available at the times of work below:

-
Sundays (between 9am -11pm):

-
weekdays after school from 3.

30pm onwards:

-
weekdays during the day

Only applicants available at stated times will be considered for the post.


Our sitters / befrienders work on a casual 'as and when' basis in the child's own home or in the community, for periods between two and five hours at a time, providing for all the child's care needs, whilst their parent or carer has a break.

You will have experience of looking after children (essential), but no formal qualifications are needed.


We will provide specialist training, which will help you develop skills in specific areas such as understanding parenting of a child with additional needs, trauma and impact on family dynamics, safeguarding children, positive behaviour management and restrain, paediatric first and others.

You will receive on-going support and supervision.


This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role.

This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
