Description
Finance Assistant

  • Entering financial data onto MS Excel and Xero,
  • Posting to purchase and sales ledgers,
  • Invoice reconciliations / reconciling accounts at regular intervals,
  • Locating / tracking invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records,
  • Assisting with the preparation / posting of bimonthly payment runs,
  • Assisting with credit control,
  • Staff expenses & credit card reconciliations,
  • Monthly physical stock checks / reconciliation,
  • Supporting and providing financial data and/or reporting to management for auditing,
  • Keeping financial records organised and easy to access,
  • Checking for data entry errors and potential fraud.

The Right Person

  • Immediately available / on short notice,
  • Previous accounting experience within an SME environment,
  • A background within a manufacturing environment preferred,
  • High level of commitment, positive attitude, flexible and proactive,
  • Effective communication skills liaising with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Excellent planning, organisation and deadline time keeping skills,
  • Ability to identify opportunities and implement process improvements,
  • Good IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Xero preferred.

Package

  • Appointment Type: Interim (initially up to 3months but likely to be extendedpossible temp2perm)
- £23-£27K

  • Hours: Full-Time
  • Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
  • NEST
  • Parking
