About the role:


  • Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated staff for an opportunity that has arisen in the Molecular Pathology Department in the Halo Building, Level
  • The role is for a MLA based in the sample receipt area and you will be responsible for unpacking, tracking, receipt, organisation and distribution of all samples. You will receive, and where necessary, act upon, incoming calls to the laboratory and communicate with colleagues and clients to resolve any discrepancies or omissions on assay request paperwork.
  • This role is paramount to the smooth running of the department.
  • You will also be expected to help in the nucleic acid extraction laboratory as required. We are looking for someone who is positive, proactive and attention to detail is essential.
  • Working hours range from 6:00am 14:30pm to 9am 17:30pm, 5 days per week (37.5 hours). Flexibility may be required.
