£80 - £90 per day

Are you looking to move from the care sector to the special needs education sector?

Have you got experience supporting with personal care?


We are looking for a special needs Support Worker at a special needs college in the East London area starting as soon as possible on a full time and long term basis.

Hours are Monday to Friday College Hours (will depend on each student).

To join us and be successful in this East London, Bow based Support Worker role, you will need to:

  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with a full education & work history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Have experience delivering personal care support to young adults. About the role You will be supporting students aged 1925 with with Complex Needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Students have a range of physical communication, sensory & emotional needs.


Many need the support of wheelchairs or hoists to move around so training or significant experience with Moving & Handling or Personal Care tasks is beneficial.

You will need to work collaboratively with the other Support Worker & Teaching Assistant staff as well as the teachers and outside professionals.


As well as providing care support you will need to assist in the smooth delivery of learning which is based around the Engagement Model.
