Purchase Ledger Assistant - Bolton, United Kingdom - General Traffic Ltd.
Description
Since the first branch of General Traffic opened in 1983, our family owned business has grown to become one of the largest stockists of automotive spares in the North West and the Midlands.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (09:00 - 17:00)Responsibilities:
- Print a list of suppliers to be paid within their terms and get authorisation from the Director or Accountant.
- Input payment data onto the online banking system, obtain printout and request authorisation from the Accountant.
- Obtain a schedule from Warranty or products on stock cleanse and return allowing the company to get a credit from the supplier or, after confirmation, offset it against the amount owed.
- Post all payments made on to the ledgers on the appropriate date, print the remittance advice, send to the suppliers and file all relevant paperwork.
- Open supplier accounts on the ledger
- Administration Duties.
Desired Attributes:
- Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook (essential)
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
Salary:
From £21,000.00 per year
