The Commercial Collections Specialist's day-to-day duties are as follows:

  • Working on behalf of our various customers in the construction industry
  • Speaking with businesses (not the general public) negotiating payments.
  • Working in a 3rd party capacity to collect money that has become overdue
  • Updating database with relevant information
  • Other administrative duties

The Successful Commercial Collections Specialist must have the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience within a telephone-based role or customer service position.
  • A positive telephone manner and assertive negotiation skills.
  • Will enjoy speaking with people at different levels.
  • Previous knowledge and experience with collections/debt recovery is an advantage but not essential as training will be given
  • Credit control experience is an advantage but not essential
  • You must also be a great communicator and have confidence when dealing with conflict.
  • Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A forward thinking attitiude
