About Our Client:
Fantastic Opportunity for an Experienced Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic company based in Godstone.
- As the Accounts Assistant you manage the daily operations of student funding and to manage the process for funding students including making adaptations as and when necessary in respect of assessments and internal processes
- To be responsible for establishing agreements for education funding and domiciliary care and supported Housing funding in a timely manner
- To monitor and review the timely and effective management of the Individual Learner Record and government returns to safeguard continued funding
- Have a good working knowledge of ESFA and high needs education funding requirements
- To be responsible for analysis of student funding data, ensuring that areas for development are identified and progressed accordingly
- To be responsible for providing data and monthly KPIs to senior leaders.
- To ensure timely and accurate agreement of contracts and submission of documentation to local authorities / ESFA in respect of student funding agreements.
- Working closely with the SENCO, to ensure that all documents to support ongoing funding are completed within set timescales and communicated to relevant external partners.
- To support the Finance team where needed to maintain a full service to its stakeholders.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that you are working within policies and procedures regarding financial management, which includes acceptance of gifts.
The Successful Applicant:
- Experience of working with and negotiating with Local Authorities on funding and contractual arrangements preferred
- Understanding of effective utilisation of resources
- Willingness to maintain and update personal specialist skills and knowledge through engaging with appropriate professional development activities and training
- Knowledge of activities and education leading to achievement and success
- Managing the Funding process into education preferred
- Flexibility when working with students and staff and in attending events in the evenings and where necessary at other times
- Excellent computer literacy and administrative skills
- Analytical and report writing skills
- Innovative and creative
- Ability to create internal learning and development plan and resources
- Flexibility to work with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a team and foster good relationships within a multidisciplinary work force.
- May be working towards an accountancy degree
