We're thrilled to once again be supporting our client, an owner-managed Scottish based Accountancy Firm, to recruit a number of Accounts Assistants on a full time, permanent basis.


Due to continued growth, the team is expanding and as such there are openings in their Edinburgh and Dundee offices.


Our client has been established for over 100 years with a loyal client base across the UK made up of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Salary
Up to £25,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits


Role Purpose

Working as part of the Accounting and Business Solutions Team, you will support in preparing management and financial accounts for sole traders, charities, partnerships and limited companies.


Role Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping using Quickbooks, Xero and Sage
  • Support in preparing annual accounts for clients
  • Prepare client VAT returns
  • Prepare management accounts and liaise with clients to obtain relevant information
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients
  • Work onsite with clients as and when required
  • Escalate and issues ASAP in order to provide 100% client satisfaction

Key skills
-
At least 12 months Accounts experience, in practice (Essential):


  • HND in Accountancy/Finance related field or AAT/ACCA part qualified

Proven advanced accounts preparation skills and experience:


  • Experience in QuickBooks, Sage and Xero:
  • An analytical mindset with strong numerical skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Effective time management
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own working if a fast paced environment
  • Highly motivated, with excellent problemsolving skills

This is a full-time, permanent role working between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
