Buyer, Brough, C £35,000, fantastic benefits, 25 days holiday + BH.

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a well-established, successful company who are looking to appoint a Buyer to join their team.

Working as the Buyer you will be responsible for supply chain activities including assisting with strategy, procurement of parts, materials and consumables, and taking ownership of a series of key suppliers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the buyer

Focussing on cost whilst understanding the wider strategic direction
Conducting detailed costbreakdown analysis
Analysing and ensuring accurate predictions of upcoming customer demand
Working with suppliers on performance improvement
Undertaking sourcing of materials, obtaining competitive prices, checking availability and evaluating quality information
Liaising with suppliers in connection with all aspects of the procurement process including monitoring supplier performance ensuring approved suppliers provide the highest level of service
Identifying new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discounts and volume rebates

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Buyer

Experience as a Buyer, Purchaser or Supply Chain Professional
Previous involvement in implementing ERP or MRP systems an advantage but not essential
Proficient in use of Microsoftbased systems including Excel
