Description

Develop and maintain ORM Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and Operating Model, in accordance with Citi and industry best practices and standards.

The Operating model will provide a structured approach for QA activities across ORM and determine whetherto follow a centralized, coverage team led or hybrid model for the execution of each part of ORM's QA program.


  • Develop and lead ORMs QA program to assess a) adherence and the quality of 1st line execution of ORM frameworks, standards and programs and b) the quality of execution of ORM's own activities and routines.
  • Lead / coordinate execution of ORM QA activities where chosen to be centralized or hybrid in the ORM adherence & QA operating model. Oversee execution of ORM QA activities where executed by business, regional or risk category coverage teams.
  • Establish and deliver approaches to look across, analyze and provide actionable and risk centric insights into the conclusions of ORM QA activities, and what they mean for Citi's operational risk profile overall.
  • Working with ORM policy and/or program owners, establish execution quality benchmarks and methodologies that will be used to assess the quality of execution for control programs and implementation of taxonomies and reference data.
  • As a member of ORM Standards and QA leadership team, contribute to the success of the overall team, including by ensuring coherence and effectiveness of the overall framework, supportive the growth and development of team members and driving efficient andimpactful engagements with stakeholders across all 3 lines of defense.

Qualifications:


  • Significant experience in Operational Risk is a must. Other risk and control disciplines would be a plus credit, and market.
  • Experience in build, implementation and/or execution of Quality Assurance, 2LoD Reviews or Internal Audit would be desirable.
  • Expertise in one or more specific operational risk subcategories.
  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level both verbal & written
  • Experienced in Operational Risk. Knowledge of other risk disciplines (market risk, credit risk) a plus.
  • Acts decisively in high risk scenarios, assessing a situation based on available data, experience, intuition, and judgment.
  • Ability to respond to challenges with creative solutions, adapts to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgment calls on issues that can be both quantitative and qualitative in nature.
  • Acts as a role model for managing people, coaching, and serving as a mentor. Champions diversity and seeks to recruit, retain, and develop talent. Supports mobility.
