We are thrilled to be working with our client to find a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their finance team based in their Leeds head office.

This role will ensure the smooth running of the purchase ledger team and is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, leading business.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing a small team of Purchase Ledger Clerks to ensure efficient running of the purchase ledger team
Responsibility for your own section of the ledger
Overseeing payment runs
Handling queries in a timely and professional manner
Assisting with month end and ad hoc reporting as required
Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders
Deputising for the Purchase Ledger Manager when required.

The role will suit an experienced Purchase Ledger professional with the following skills and experience:

Very strong all-round purchase ledger skills and experience
Already working in a supervisory role, or a highly experienced and talented senior purchase ledger clerk looking for the next step in their career
Committed to the development of others
An excellent team player, able to support and motivate others
Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
IT confident, good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Strong numerical skills, accurate with a keen attention to detail
Organised, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
